Good game

This game was quite fun, albeit a little unoriginal.

Graphics - 8/10 - Graphics were fine for their purpose, some of the enemies looked really good, in particular the undead cows.

Gameplay - 7/10 - The idea has been done numerous times before, and tends to become repetitive, however it was still well implemented. While it was refreshing that the game didn't have a ridiculous difficulty curve, it was perhaps a bit too easy to complete. The controls were a bit fiddly but not overly so.

Sound - 7/10 - The sound effects en masse were great, however the lack of atmospheric music in the background was disappointing.

Overall - 7/10 - A fun game, and a decent time-waster, but the repetitiveness did let it down.

Great game!

I enjoyed the hell out of this, good job!

Graphics - 10/10 - I loved the artwork in this game, it is obviously is very influenced by Metal Slug, but that is one of the reasons I enjoyed it as much as I did. It was simple yet very effective.

Gameplay - 8/10 - The game is both fun and challenging, and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was both engaging and entertaining, without being overly easy, even on lower difficulty levels. I do have two small complaints however. Firstly, while there were a good number of varying enemies, I felt more could have been included. At later stages it felt like the game was being made harder by throwing more and more of the same baddies at you, rather than introducing new, more powerful ones. My second complaint is that the first Mech Suit is in my view actually more effective than the other one. The Mech Suit has a high rate of fire, so it seemed to kill much faster. The NEO-Mech Suit was more powerful, but the laser took ages to charge, so it wasn't nearly as effective as the railgun. Otherwise, good stuff.

Sound - 9/10 - Sound was fine, and the music was apt. I was a little disappointed that it became stale after a while, and in my view the sound seemed to get more recycled as the game progressed. However, this was only a minor flaw.

Overall - 9/10 - A fun game that challenges you without being overly unfair on the player. Barring some minor flaws it is a great piece of work that is both involving and enjoyable. I hope to see more of the same from you in the future.

Congratulations!

You've created the most fun, challenging, engaging and overall best game on this site. Unbelieveable, truly amazing. As a big Mastermind fan, I fell in love with this almost instantly.

Graphics - 9/10 - Visually, this was stunning; it served its purpose perfectly while at the same time remained faithful to the Mastermind theme. My only complaints are to do with the mini-cutscenes upon completing a mission. They were a bit recycled, and I was disappointed that their mouths didn't move as they spoke. Other than that minor flaw, nothing else I can pick out as a fault in the amazing artwork.

Gameplay - 10/10 - It takes a while to get the feel of this, but as soon as you grasp the concept, it proves to be one of the most rewarding gaming experiences on this site. The depth of gameplay is amazing, and it manages to be a challenge without being needlessly difficult, which is no easy task to pull off. I also enjoyed the little bit at the end after you complete the final mission ("Where are my cheesy snacks" typical Mastermind humour).

Sound - 10/10 - No complaints here. Music when used was good, sound effects were well-implemented, and hearing "Hail Mastermind" every time I scrolled over a minion was a nice touch.

Overall - 10/10 - I could talk forever about this game, such is its depth, however with only 2,500 characters or so left I'll simply say this: thank you. This game has given me a great deal of enjoyment. It's addictive, challenging, and most importantly of all, it's a hell of a lot of fun!

Great job guys!

I got 47/50, apparently I'm an NG god (although I'm far from having legendary status!)

Graphics - 10/10 - Graphically I had few qualms, it was pretty much perfect. Only problem was that in the "Explanations" section, the text was a little hard to read, not much, just a little. Otherwise fine.

Content - 10/10 - What can I say, other than it was excellent? The meat of the flash was impeccable, it explained everything well and might encourage some users to work on their posting and reviewing habits.

Sound - 9/10 - The music was fine, although not to my taste. However the inclusion of the mute button was appreciated ;)

Overall - 10/10 - You two did a wondrous job on this flash, and I sincerely hope this attains a decent level of recognition.

Sispri responds:

Haha, the text in the explanations was kinda hard. But, I thought the glow effect would add some eye catching. The format was based on NG. I went for the Newgrounds tune simply because it was classic, so thanks for the great review! -Yoshi

This has potential

I like this kind of game, and I reckon with some work this could be great.

Graphics - 4/10 - Graphics were a bit too simplistic, maybe you could work on them a bit.

Gameplay - 8/10 - The survival gameplay has potential to be amazing, so keep up the good work in that regard. I would recommend when you click an item you can't pick up then you will get a text description of that item.

Sound - N/A - There was no sound, so remarking on it would be unfair. But I would recommend adding sound in the full version.

Overall - 6/10 - A lot of potential for excellence is present here. Work on improving the animation and add some sound, then this will be very good indeed.

Very good guide

This was very helpful, and hopefully it will help as many people as my two seem to.

Graphics - 7/10 - The menu structure was very good, as were the pictures. However I was a little disappointed with the text, which was hard to read at times. Also there were a few minor spelling errors. Other than that, it was quite good.

Content - 10/10 - A lot of good information which will definitely help new users (and thanks for linking to my guide :P)

Sound - 8/10 - I didn't particularly like the music, so the option to mute it was appreciated. In addition, nice Pokemon music on the credits, they made me laugh.

Overall - 8/10 - Well done on making a very helpful flash.

Little-Rena responds:

Well thankyou, I thought I would link to your guide as well, since I'm not sure how much I missed or didn't miss, somewhat hard to tell. The music I thought was nice myself for a loop but we all have our own views, lol. Thanks for the review.

Incredible game!

A fantastic point-and-click, one of the best I've played.

Graphics - 9/10 - Graphics were fantastic, very colourful, although the peoples faces looked a bit grotesque.

Gameplay - 10/10 - Spectacular. Apart from the main puzzles, there were secret rooms and mini-games, making this a very in-depth game indeed. Wonderful stuff.

Sound - 9/10 - Some of the music got annoying, but overall it was excellent.

Overall - 9/10 - A fantastic game, and I enjoyed every second of it. Well done.

Psionic3D responds:

Thanks for the in-depth review and glad you liked it!!

Thanks for playing ;-)

Falling machetes?

Well this certainly satisfies my inner sadist.

Graphics - 8/10 - Graphics were pretty good, good blood spattering, no real major faults.

Gameplay - 7/10 - The game had a very steep learning curve. It may have been better to start off easy and gradually have more and more machetes falling. Overall though I enjoyed it.

Sound - 9/10 - Sounds were fine, the cries of pain were morbidly satisfying. The music was frantic and so suited the game perfectly.

Overall - 8/10 - This is a good game, albeit a difficult one. Other than a difficulty level which borders on unfair for the beginner, there are no major flaws that I can pinpoint.

I'm a sucker for point-and-clicks...

...and I loved the first two, so I was delighted to play this.

Graphics - 9/10 - I really like the style of animation used in the Riddle School series, so this installment did not fail to disappoint. Excellent as always. Even the presentation of the main menu is fantastic.

Gameplay - 9/10 - Classic point-and-click gameplay. The puzzles were challenging, yet at the same time were not illogical or impossible to figure out. That is a very fine line yet you managed to get it just right. The humour, as in the first two is sublte yet effective, and I enjoyed it immensely.

Sound - 6/10 - While the sound effects were fine, I didn't like the music one bit. To be honest, it got very annoying, to the point where I was forced to turn my speakers off so I could concentrate on the game. In my view this is the only major flaw in an otherwise fabulous game.

Overall - 8/10 - This is one of the best point-and-clicks I've played on NewGrounds. Other than the music that gave me a headache I can't pinpoint any major flaws with it. Good work, and I look forward to a possible Riddle School 4 (college maybe?)

I love Star Wars...

...and I love this game!

Graphics - 9/10 - Nothing too complicated here, just simple stuff well executed. What impressed me most was the great job you did with the lightsabre trailing as you move it quickly.

Gameplay - 10/10 - You'd think a game like this would get very repetitive, but in fact the opposite is true. It is unbelievably addictive! It was almost painful to have to quit in order to write this review.

Sound - 8/10 - Sounds were pretty good. While they were quite good sound effects I would have liked more Star Wars authentic sounds e.g. the humming sound the lightsabre makes, and maybe some SW music in the background.

Overall - 9/10 - With a bit more authenticity this would be a near-perfect lightsabre game. As it is, it is among the best I've ever played. Well done!
